Why Genuine Coaches?

  • Spending a large amount of your hard earned money on advice is great if it works out! 
  • However, getting bad advice and also losing your money is a double whammy, and it's not fun (been there, done that, and that's why I created this website). 

Is this website for psychotherapy, therapy, or other medical services?

  • No. For those of you who require assistance with mental health, medical assistance, this website and the genuine coaches within are not the right fit for you.
  • Please contact a qualified medical professional, your physician, your local health provider, or emergency services if you or someone you know requires medical assistance or are in crisis. 

Do these genuine coaches have degrees, certifications, or designations?

  • While some genuine coaches do have specialized training, certifications, or designations in their respective fields (e.g., executive coaching), this site recognizes that there are some really great coaches who do not have a formal education but are competent because of their years of experience, knowledge, and other training. 
  • This site works to remove barriers that would prevent some coaches from getting into this field of coaching, mentoring, life-coach and the like. 
  • Engaging in this platform/website does not create a therapist-client relationship; it can't because we do not offer any medical advice, counselling, mental health treatment. 
  • The information given by Genuine Coaches are for personal growth/ development only. 
  • Users remain responsible for their own decisions and actions.

How do group sessions work?

  • Join up, ask a question in the chat. 
  • Sit back and listen to the coach, if it's a good fit, continue. 

What if I don't like the coach, do I have to continue with them? 

  • No pressure, no commitment, no expectations of re-upping; it can be as simple as a one-and-done (without paying a huge sum of money)
  • Please verify that you did not sign up for any recurring payments and cancel any additional sessions. 
  • Check out the other coaches who might be more in line with what you need. You are in control. 

Do I need to divulge personal information in a group/ public session?

  • Please do not share any personal information. Outside of the information required during registration, do not give out any personal or professional (work) identifying information. 

Why not share your personal or work info? 

  • Your journey is yours alone. Your experiences, perspectives, and situation is unique to you, and for those reasons, your work/ personal details should stay out of the public forum.
