Genuine-Coaches Privacy Policy

Genuine-Coaches is a platform connecting coaches with individuals seeking advice. We do not provide medical advice, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our Services, including coaches, visitors, and members, and governs how we collect, use, and share personal information.

Scope and Applicability

This Privacy Policy applies to:

Services: Genuine-Coaches.com, Genuine-Coaches-branded apps, and other Genuine-Coaches-branded sites, apps, communications, and services offered under this Policy. Services offered under a different privacy policy are excluded.

Users: Registered users (“Members”), coaches, visitors, and anyone interacting with our platform.

Designated Countries: Refers to the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), and Switzerland. Currently, our Services are not offered in these countries.

If you are outside of the Designated Countries, Genuine-Coaches acts as the data controller responsible for your personal data collected, provided, or processed in connection with our Services.

Your continued use of our Services constitutes your agreement to the collection, use, and sharing of personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Inferences we make about you

Genuine-Coaches may draw inferences about you based on your profile and interactions with our Services. These inferences help us personalize your experience, such as showing you content or suggestions that are more relevant. We do not use your profile photo to make inferences about you.

Examples of Inferences

  • We may infer information such as:
  • Languages you speak, based on the languages used in your posts, to suggest coaches who speak those languages.
  • Age or gender, based on information in your Profile (this information is not used to suggest coaches to you).
  • Interests in particular industries or topics, such as Electric Vehicles or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Potential actions you may take on Genuine-Coaches, such as whether you are likely to watch or post video content.
  • Interest in Genuine-Coaches products or Services.
  • Content ranking, where we may prioritize items in your feed that align with subjects we infer interest you.

Safety and Security

To protect the safety and security of our platform, members, guests, and customers, we do not disclose inferences related to safety or security.

Data From Others

  • Other users may post content about you, including questions, responses, or stories. Please be respectful and avoid identifying individuals, coworkers, or others.
  • Public information about you may be collected and displayed as permitted by your profile settings.
  • Users may sync calendars or share other data with the platform.

Partner and Customer Data

Partners or organizations (e.g., employers, schools) may provide personal data about you when you use Services they have purchased for you.

  • Staying Informed: We may use your data to suggest content or features, such as recommending coaches, groups, or posts that may be relevant to you.

Advertising

We serve tailored ads on and off our Services. You have choices regarding personalized advertising, but cannot opt-out of seeing non-personalized ads.

Targeting and Measurement: We use data from multiple sources to target and measure ads, including:

  • Advertising technologies (pixels, ad tags, cookies, device identifiers);
  • Information you provide (profile, contact info);
  • Your activity on our Services (searches, feed interactions, group participation, content viewed, ad clicks);

Sponsored Content: Ads may appear similar to non-sponsored content but will always be labeled (e.g., “ad” or “sponsored”).

Within Our Services

Posts, Likes, Follows, Comments, and Messages

Our Services allow you to view and share information through posts, likes, follows, comments, and messages.

  • Public Sharing: When you share a post or article (e.g., update, image, video, or article) publicly, it can be viewed by anyone and re-shared in accordance with your privacy settings.
  • Group Posts: Posts in groups are visible based on the group type:
  • Private groups: visible only to members of the group.
  • Public groups: visible to everyone.
  • Your membership in groups is publicly displayed on your profile.
  • Organization Pages: Information shared on company or organizational pages is visible to the organization and others viewing that content.
  • Messages and Views: We may notify senders when you act on a message, subject to your settings. Similarly, we may let coaches or organizations know when you view their profile or page, depending on your preferences.
  • Social Actions: Likes, comments, and re-shares may be visible to others and associated with your profile, name, and photo if provided.

Communication Archival

Some Members, such as regulated professionals, may need to archive communications for legal or professional compliance.

  • We provide functionality that allows such Members (or their employers) to store messages outside our Services for compliance purposes, e.g., a financial advisor archiving communications with clients to maintain licensure.

Related Services

  • We share your data across our Services and affiliated entities.
  • Personal data may be shared with our Affiliates to provide, maintain, and develop Services.

Service Providers

  • We use third-party providers to support our Services.
  • Service providers assist with tasks such as maintenance, analytics, payments, fraud detection, customer support, marketing, and development.

We keep most personal data while your account is active.

  • Personal data may be retained as long as your account is open or as needed to provide Services.
  • Certain data (e.g., aggregated insights) may be retained in depersonalized form even after account closure.

  • Closing your account stops most visibility within 24 hours.

  • Fulfilling unsubscribe requests.
  • Content shared with others (e.g., posts, group content) may remain visible even after account closure.
  • Groups or reviews associated with closed accounts will show “unknown user” as the source.
  • Cached copies of your profile may persist outside our control until refreshed.

  • Measures include HTTPS and regular monitoring for vulnerabilities.
  • No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee that data will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
