Coaching for Therapists
I’m Yolanda Testani, a Registered Psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field. Over the years, I’ve worked with many therapists as they transition from training into real-world practice, and I know how overwhelming the early stages of a career in this field can feel.
When I first started out, there were many practical aspects of practice that weren’t taught in school—how to structure sessions, manage documentation, build a caseload, develop confidence, and create systems that make the work sustainable. Through coaching, I support therapists in navigating these real-world challenges so they can feel more confident and organized in their professional lives.
My coaching focuses on the practical side of building a therapy practice. I help therapists create simple systems for managing their work, think through how they want to structure their practice, and develop clarity about their professional direction.
This service is coaching and consultation only. It is not psychotherapy and does not replace clinical supervision required for licensure or professional regulation.
I work with therapists who want support with:
• Setting up or organizing a private practice
• Creating practical systems for notes, scheduling, and client management
• Developing confidence in their professional role
• Navigating the first years of practice
• Building a practice that aligns with their values and lifestyle
My goal is to help therapists feel less overwhelmed and more grounded as they build careers that are both meaningful and sustainable.
Coaching services are focused on professional development and practice-building support for therapists. Coaching is not psychotherapy, counselling, or clinical supervision, and it does **not count toward supervision hours required by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario or any other regulatory body.
